Bl()op takes the ordinary and commonplace and produces something super-extraordinary by recasting falling and rising densities. Through interactive fabrication and audible carnage, public architecture is transformed to new heights, quite literally.

This thesis uses familiar primitives and operations among them to generate complex spatial systems that retain a high level of formal legibility and clarity appealing to a broader audience outside the architectural field.

Situated eight miles off the coast of Whitstable, Kent, the seven World War Two Redsand Sea Forts provide the perfect isolation to create an environment in which astronomical observation becomes the main focus.
